Wilcox Architecture specializes in residential and commercial design and construction—new buildings, additions, and renovations. Tom Wilcox personally handles each project from start to completion, maintaining close personal contact with clients and providing high quality design. Wilcox Architecture is located in the Village of Mariemont in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Typical sequence of events in planning a project with Wilcox Architecture:

1. Initial Meeting Discussion of prospective clients’ needs, wants and dreams concerning their project and examination of the existing building or property. Wilcox Architecture’s fee structure will also be reviewed, and feasibility of the project will be addressed.
2. Preliminary Architectural Services This step begins with research of codes and regulations pertinent to the project, and field measurement and documentation of the existing conditions. Next is initial design, and a series of meetings and refinements until both client and Tom are comfortable with the design. These drawings are computer generated, utilizing AutoCAD software. Concurrent with design development will be a basic estimate of cost.
3. Architectural Services Creating construction documents from the final design. Procurement of building permits and assistance with the bidding process are also common tasks handled in this phase.
4. Construction Observation Services Tom makes himself extremely available during construction, for both the owner and contractor.
5. Construction Services Occasionally Tom will serve as the construction manager, essentially guiding the project from conception through occupancy. This ensures continual quality control and maintenance of design intent from start to finish.
